Your English teacher has found a new penfriend for you.
Write a letter to the penfriend and introduce yourself. Tell them what you like doing in your free time. Ask your penfriend to tell you about their hobbies and interests.

Dear….,
My name is Monica Sardi, and I would like to be your new penfriend. I got your name and address from my English teacher. So I am writing to introduce myself to you.

I am 20 years old, and I live in Gothenburg city in Sweden. I am an undergraduate student at Uppsala University studying Literature. I am staying with two other roommates on the university campus. My parents are living on the outskirts of the city. I enjoy being a student as I get to learn the subject I love and interact with people with similar interests as mine, but I don’t like to study on the weekends and public holidays.

My student life keeps me busy, but when I am not studying, I listen to music, read novels, do painting and watch movies. I relish cooking different cuisines occasionally. I can make Indian, Italian, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese dishes but it consumes so much of my time. Recently, I have taken a keen interest in salsa dancing, and it makes me happy.

Anyway, enough about me. What about you? What are your hobbies and interests? What do you like to do in your free time? I hope you will write soon and tell me everything about yourself. Waiting for your reply.

Best wishes,
Monica
