Dear Mr. Jones,
I am writing to apologise for the noise last week. I am most embarrassed about this. Because me and my family are normally quiet people and we do respect the privacy of my neighbours.
The reason for the excessive noise was that it was my 45th birthday party and my family threw a surprise party for me. They had invited around 10 of my friends with their children to celebrate my birthday party and perhaps they did not realise how much noise would be made by all of the children. I would also explain that after i had over the shock, i thought to apologise to my neighbours for noise and high-level music after the party. Unfortunately, the time was late and i would not disturb them again.
Once again, please accept my apologies and rest assured that this situation will not be repeated. I have since personally apologised to my neighbours, who were all very understanding.
