(19/03/2016) - People in the community can buy cheaper products nowadays. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

It is true that these days people are able to buy many reasonably priced products. Although there can be no doubt that this trend can be beneficial to society to a certain extent, I assert that it will do more harm than good.
On the one hand, several reasons explained the popularity in the inexpensive price of goods. Firstly, the most significant of which is the number of products consumed which leads to the economic development of countries. This is because low-priced products encourage the spenders to buy and consume more and more. As a result, more jobs will be created as companies expand their sales of consumer goods, reducing the unemployment figures and enabling more people to share in the increasing prosperity. In addition, people can buy more goods, for example, TV smarts, phones which can improve their standards of living. And also they save more money on childcare, health, and education.
On the other hand, there are various reasons why I believe low-priced goods bring us more harm. The first reason is that overproduction can affect our environments such as grazing from agriculture or smoking from the factories leads to destruct ozone and air. As a result, the cost of recovering the damage we cause to the habitat is huge. Moreover, cheaper products are almost invariably associated with poor quality. For example, when cheap imports from China first entered the American and European markets, consumers quickly realized that items such as electronic goods either did not work or quickly broke down and the materials themselves were not durable.
To sum up, besides the many advantages of purchasing cheaper goods, I still believe that the disadvantages of low-priced goods outweigh the advantages. As cheaper products are often of low quality and are produced in unsustainable ways,
