The bar chart shows the number of students who choose certain university subjects in 2005. Overall, Sciences, Mathematics, Literature, and Law are the most popular courses for females. And it’s vice versa, Social sciences, Languages, the Arts remained the most preferred subjects among boys. Sciences is 21.000 higher than female students over 11.000. Next, Mathematics with approximately 18.000 for boys and 4.000 for girls. More male students than female students chose literature to study. Literature with 15.000 for the males compared to above 11.000 for the females. In addition, the law selected by male students was half higher than the figure for the female, 10.000 compared to 5.000. On the other hand, females dominated social sciences with 24.000 and males with 14.000. As for Languages, the number of female students choice is nine times the number of females (18.000 and 2.000). The art was chosen by 8.000 females and 3.000 males. Finally, the figure for Humanities was equal at 12.000 each for both sexes.
