some people believe that you can never become fluent in a language unless you have spent time living or working in a country To what extent do you agree

These days, people often immigrate to different locations. The reason behind this could be a well-paying job offer or a scholarship in a leading university. This makes it crucial that every individual learn a second language. A lot of people think that the most helpful way to learn a new language is by visiting the country and conversing with native speakers. I completely agree with the above statement.

Supporters of this argument may say that having an environment where the language will be excessively used will provide the right platform to implement what you have learned. Therefore, your mistakes will be easily corrected and you'll be able to learn the language effortlessly.

Learning a new language isn't always about mastering the grammar of the language rules. It's about the usage of the words. To be able to understand the usage and pronunciation, it is a must to interact with native speakers.

On the other hand, this option may not always be available for most people as they will not necessarily be able to move to another country just to learn the language. It will be a question of priorities then. If the language is really important, it is best to go live in the country where it is spoken.

Given these points, I believe visiting a country and conversing with native speakers is a better way to learn the language, as you can understand the correct usage and pronunciation of the words.
