Lectures given by teachers in universities used to be the only way of teaching students, however, nowadays technology has evolved and made it possible to study online. This causes many people to believe that the lecture system will not be needed in the future. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Bygone days, lecturing in universities was the only means where pupils were taught. However, nowadays, due to advancements in technology; the online study system is dominating the lecture system predominantly. I opine the later one will replace the old lecturing system in universities due to the advancement in the technology and the way youths want to handle multi-tasking along with studies.
First and foremost, in this contemporary world, imparting knowledge in universities has become old-fashioned for most of the current generations. To exemplify, nowadays, because of the internet, everything related to studies, like, lecturing videos, teachers' notes, books and simulators of lab equipment are available at the fingertip. Furthermore, a lot of simulators are available online for practical purposes. Thus, in the future, online studies might overrule the lecturing system.
Secondly, the majority of pupil likes to do multi-tasking along with their studies. Moreover, they want to study whenever they feel free. In the lecturer system, they have to sit in the class for the whole day. Students might feel unnecessary, and they prefer to study whenever they are free. For that very reason, they prefer online studies. Also, improvement in the current online-technology might, of course, will lead internet studies to replace the lecture system, in the future.
To recapitulate, in the future, there is a lot of scopes for online studies to overtake the lecture system. The easy access to worldwide information, the availability of lecturing videos on the internet and also the way of handling multitasking with the help of the internet has become easier. Hence, in the future, it looks like there is no need for teachers giving lecturing in universities.
