Genetic modification, a process used to change an organism’s genes and hence its characteristics, is now being used to improve trees. Through genetic modification, it is possible to create trees that produce more fruits, grow faster, or withstand advers

According to the article, genetic modification process can be used for improvement of trees and the author presents several advantages of plantation of genetically modified tress, However, the professor refutes the points presented in lecture providing some counter arguments.

First of all, the author posits that survival chance of genetically modified tress is much greater compared to unmodified counterparts. On contrast, the lecturer challenges this argument saying that it may be true in some particular scenarios only. She also mentions that unmodified trees holds varieties of genetical states and chance of survival is greater in case of drastic climate change or deleterious effect of insects of pests. As, genetically modified tree is specially created considering general cases, it might fail to survive against dramatic changes.

Secondly, the author points out to the economical benefits of genetically moderated trees as farmer can get faster and greater return on investment. On the other hand, the professor explains that hidden costs are associated with this process which causes decline in profit. As farmer need to pay a considerable amount of money for seeds and can not collect seeds by their own, it would increase farming cost and consequently a reduction in profit.

Finally, the author brings up the idea of preventing over usage of wild trees and save endangered species by using genetically modified trees. The speaker disagrees with this idea and asserts that native trees would be damaged by moderated trees as they grow aggressively and out-compete normal trees from getting natural resources. Thus, the professor contends that these special trees would eventually destroy native trees.

We are expecting: No. of Words: 350 while No. of Different Words: 200
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:

para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.

So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:

reasons == advantages or

reasons == disadvantages

for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.

or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
