Essay topics:

comics

The audio clip and the Reading are both about the comics medium, the author of the text said that the history of the comics is based on Americans because they have made all the important steps on the topic, on the other hand, the audio clip doesn’t agree with the text, because the man said that the Americans are important on the comic medium, but this invention do not belongs to them, because it belongs to the whole world.

First of all, the author of the text points that the first comic was Hogan`s Alley, and the writer of this comic was American, just like the publisher and all the people who were involved on the comic. Also, he said that the first super hero, who was Spiderman, is American too, and this was an example for the Europeans and the whole world. Besides, this art form inspired the Japanese with mangas. That’s why this author states that the comics are an American art form.

On the other hand, the man on the audio clip notes that the firs comic was about an inmigrant, and actually that one wasn’t the first comic, because this one belongs to Europeans. Besides, he said that one of the most important comic characters is superman, and it was from Canada. That’s why he states that the comics belongs to the whole world not only to Americans.

Finally, the author of the paragraph states that the comics are an American art form, and on the other hand, the man on the audio clip states that comics are an art form that belongs to the whole world not only to Americans.
