COMICS
In the reading and the listening both were about the origin of comic, if it was classified as an American art or if it was really originate from America.
First, in the reading part, the author claim that comics are originated from America and then it spread to the whole world influencing other country like Japan in the case of Manga and Europe because of Disney comics.
But in the listening part, the man talking said that this is not true, and started first talking about the first comic strip, Hogans Alley, negating that it was the first comic strip in the world and mentioned country from Europe that first stared to create comic strip, country like England or Hungary. After this he mention about Action comic, the character Super man, saying that he was not the first character from a comic book and then gave the example of Ten Ten, an character from a Belgium comic book created 60 years before Super man, also he add the nationality of the creator of Super man that was Canadian to complement his argument.
In addition to this the man declare that Japanese manga were influenced maindly by traditional Asian art
Finally he answered about the Disney comic in Europe, letting us know that the Disney character were created by American but, the comic on Europe were drawn by themselves. In conclusion comics is not influenced by American at all but having origin all around the world.
