Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? For success in a future job, the ability to relate well to people is more important than studying hard in school. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
While some believe that networking during school years is more important than studying hard for future success, I disagree with this. In fact, there should be a balance between both interacting with people as well as academic aspects For success in a future job. This balance will be further elaborated in the ensuing passage.
Firstly, Studying hard and Doing well in academia helps to be more well informed than other students. Consequently, it will show in the overall GPA of a hard-working student. Consequently, a high GPA will give the graduated student an extra advantage when it comes to job hunting. Not to mention that this extra advantage will be much more with having good relations from school. For example, when I was hunting for jobs, the one who interviewed me was a former student whom I met at school. the interviewer was impressed by my grades. However, there was another applicant who fits the job as well. But, he employed me immediately when he remembered me. obviously, balancing both hard work and networking is a key to future success.
Secondly, studying hard during school years is the major opportunity to go into depth and have a better understanding of the subjects. Thus, widens the horizons which eventually adds to future success in work. For instance, Employers respect and admire employees who are well informed and competitive. Eventually, these employees get promoted faster than their colleagues. However, we can't deny the importance of relations in getting promoted as well. Good relation with your employer contributes to success in future jobs as well. That's why both networking and good academic knowledge are needed for success.
to sum it up, To achieve success in the future means to be unique. To be balanced with this uniqueness. Reaching success is conveyed by both hard work and good relations.
