The passage stays that there is a dangerous decrease of frogs' population due to several changes in the ecosystem. With the objective of getting a solution to this problem, the author proposes three main methods: a) reducing pesticides; b) control of harming fungus and; c) checking human activities within their habitat. The lecture challenges the claim made by the article. She considers that this methods are not the best way to confront the problem.

First, the author of the text propose that pesticides must be forbidden. If farmers are not using pesticide in their crops, then frogs would not be harmed. However, the lecture argues that this prohibition would have dramatical consequences on the economical sustanbility. Farmers could loss their crops, and be less competitive in the market.

Secondly, the passage affirms that fungus infections causes that frog is treatened. Nevertheless, the vaccine agains the illness produced is not a practical solution mainly because it is not applicable at a large scale and it would not be transfer its effects in the offsprings.

Lastly, the author posits that the enviroment of the frogs, specially wetlands, should be protected from human activities. Although it it true human activities change the enviroment, it is the global warning which is making the biggest damage. That is the reason why the proffesor argues that we must deal with the problem in a world scale.
