Recently, there has been a debate about the professional portrait of teenagers girl, his owner asserts that this girl is Jame Austen ( the famous English author). The author in the reading passage completely fine with this claim and he gives three evidence to support this assumption. While, the professor in the lecture totally disagrees with this claim and he argues each point that has made by the author.
First of all, the text assumes that as this portrait is belonging to Jame Auston's family member, that in turn, make it impossible to expect that this portrait is not for her. As her family member definitely know her very well. However, the professor refutes this assumption and he claims that this portrait came up to the public after 70 years of Jame's death. Virtually, the person who said that the girl in the portrait is Jame would never see her before. So, he might be wrong.
Second, the author in the text asserts that the resembles between this portrait and Casandra's sketch( which is the only trusted sketch for Jame Auston until now), would support his claims. Conversely, the lecture maintains an opposite side of view by saying this resembles may be because the girl in the portrait was relative to Jame so that would make the resembles logically acceptable. Furthermore, there are a lot of shreds of evidence assume that the girl in the portrait was a distant niece of Jame.
Finally, the author contends that the style of painting in the portrait emphasize that it must be depicted when Jame was teenagers. Obviously, this is misleading information as the professor prove in his third critics. More ever, the professor claims it is true that the style looks like the painting's style at that time, but, the stamp on the canvas support a different story. Actually, this type of black canvas did not sell in London until Jame turned 27 years old. So technically, it would be hard to believe that the girl in the portrait was Jame.
