signs of volcanic erruption

Essay topics:

signs of volcanic erruption

In this set of materials, the reading and lecture was both about Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano in Yellowstone National Park. The writer strongly postulates that seeing the current situation there is a possibilty that volcano will explodes soon, and endorse three theories for possible explanations. However, the lecturer claims these thoeries dubious and unconvincing, gainsays each of them.
The first and foremost, the writer begins by asserting that magnitude of the magma reservior under the Supervolcano is increased significantly that provides a good indication that volcanic erruption will occurs soon.On the other hand, the lecturer dismisses this point by insisting that increase in reservoir size does not mean that it would cause the erruption soon. Due to the fact that magma reservoir comprises of mostly rocky solid matter, only 2% is melted liquid. Therefore prediction about explosion can not be made. Moreover, he also explains that what lies under the magma is important not the appearent size.
Furthermore, the lecturer posits that researchers have found other volcanos in mojor other locations too that show the same activity. He named the rise and fall activity of volcanos are breathing of volcanos, and explains that after rising as a plateau the activity drops and this would happen in case of Yellowstone Caldera too.Hence, these movements are not significant for volcanic erruption. These claims clearly refutes the writer implications that rise in plateaue are signs of erruption happening sooner.
Ultimately, the writer wraps up its arguments by declaring that many earth quakes are seen in yellowstone area that indicates enhanced seisemic activity. In addition, these earthquakes could cause the activity of volcano to be triggered. Not surprisingly, the lecturer takes an issue with that by contending that seisemic activities are due to normal earth n
movements that prevents the pressure bulid uo under earth. Moreover there are volcanos nearby but was not effected
