summarize the points made in the lecture about different hypothesis for little ice age generation, being sure to explain how they oppose specific points made in the reading passage about reasons for little ice age period.
The reading discusses the possible explanations for little ice age period. However, the professor in the lecture totally disagrees with the reasons mentioned in the reading and gives his own reasons to support his opinion about the reading's point of view which he considers problematic.
First, the article mentions that the little ice age may be caused by the ocean currents disruption phenomena. But, professor indicates that the little ice age covered whole the planet and not just the Europe and america where these current disruption accurred. So, there is not any solid evidence that ocean currents disruption could have caused the little ice age in other places like southern america.
Second, the passage assumes that the volcanic eruption and its related activities may probably bring about this incident. On the other hand, he opposes this assumption and thinks that it could have not been the reason for little ice age, since there are no other reports about volcanic eruptions' other consequences like visual impacts that these gas clouds may have on sun and its color. Thus, their influence was not as large as what the reading believes.
Third, the reading reminds the human's great population reduction and considers it as a reason for little ice age encounter. In contrast, professor believes that this belief is problematic, as the population decrease have compensated and human population started to radically grow in a short period of time. As a result they began to cut the trees again to provide themselves with agricultural lands to produce different crops. So, there would not be enough time for them to generate a large amount of green house gases to affect the climate substantially.
