Firstly, according to the reading text, Archeopteryx fossils found by the archeologist was revealed that, Archeopteryx was having the bony tail in their end. article also mention that, modern day birds is not having a tail. In contrast to article, the lecture argues that, weight of mature Archeopteryx is around the 1 to 2 pound, which shown that just like a mature pegion. Additionally, he notice that, Archeopteryx is having a compact body like birds.
Secondly, the article suggests that, head and mouth of Archeopteryx is like a dinosaur. and also having small teeth like a dinosaur is have. On the other hand, the professors believe that Archeopteryx is having a long beak, which is generally, present in the birds. Moreover, he said that beak is evidence of divergent evolution pathway. This evidence proved that, Archeopteryx is not a dinosaur.
Lastly, the reading passage think that, major feature of birds is able to do flight. But according to the archeologist Archeopteryx is not able to fly. On the opposite side, the tutor point out that, Archeopteryx is having a feather. but is it not like a feather, which is present in the modern birds. On top of that, he contends that, this feathers are having a leathery feel. In addition to that, this feathers are rudimentary not like fully developed. It proves that, Archeopteryx is not a dinosaur according to the professors arguments.
To sum up, the author and lecture both having the different view points on the Archeopteryx.
