The given passage discusses the advantages of approaching a new project in the organizations as a team of people. The lecture, on the other hand, completely refutes this opinion.
According to the passage, the project can be finished quickly if the project is assigned to a team of people rather than an individual person. Teamwork provides the benefit of utilizing the knowledge, expertise, and skills of different people to finish the task. The lecture, however, disapproves this view since the teamwork requires more time for the project to move on as it requires the agreement by all of its members.
Also, as per the passage, teamwork allows members to take risks for the project because the team is aware of the fact, for any wrong decision whole team will be accountable rather than a single person. On the other hand, the lecture opposes the teamwork, due to the fact, that for any achievements of the project, the whole team is given credit. This leads to hard working individuals being not recognized for their contribution to the team individually over the members who were just part of the team but actually didn't participate actively in the project.
Lastly, the given passage describes that teamwork is advantageous to influential people since other people are assigned work according to them. The lecture states that control of the team by influential people might lead to other members voice being ignored. This can often lead to the projects to move in a disadvantageous direction despite the fact that few members who are not supportive of it.
