The passages states some drawbacks about online encyclopedias and it compares them with trivial type. On the other hand, the speaker demonstrates some possible solution for disadvantages of online versions and she believe that online encyclopedia can be a possible alternative to the previous versions of data representations.
First, the passage declare lack of academic background in the online versions. For instance, the people that create online pages propose inaccurate suggestions and informations about the subjects. These information not only are productive but also can damage the standards in information transmission between people. Despite this fact that errors are common in each vesion of encyclopedia, the professor believes that the online version is able to decrease the number of errors by it updating charactristics.
The second reason is the people who cause the pages to be hacked and omited in online versions. The trivial version is created in offline manner so that it consists of safe and reliable informations. On the contrary, the professor think these problems could be neglected if the producer of these web pages assign some members as editors to avoid external influences in the subjects.
lastly, the passage states unpoular subjects in these passages are more than the official versions. In fact, professional researchers have more ability in understanding the importance of the concepts rather that a child that is writing about some trivial subjects. In spite these belief the speaker persist that these subjects have more variety and diversity in comparison to the trivial subjects that are choosed by limited number of people in specific book.
