The lecture and the passage are disscussing about private fossil collectors. The author of the article feels that sale of fossils and private collection have negative consequences which is unfoavorable for both scientist and general public. However, the profeesor feels these critiques are exaggerating the situation; althogh she accepts some possible adverse effects of private collecting, she is of the opinion that advantages are greater that disadvantages.
First the author is concerning about the fossils exposure to general public. The passage claims that if fossils do not donate to the museums then public would be deprived to see fossils. On the other hand, the lecturer insists that this not true and many schools and private museusms are buying these fossils and as a consequens the possibility for general public will be rised to visit the fossils
Secondly, the text writer is concerned about scientific investigations on discovered fossils since these discovered fossils are good resources for scientists to develope their experiments and researches. Nevertheless, the lecturer is far opposing this idea owing to this fact that scientis are playing important role in private collections are fossil market. The scientist are the ones who are initialy exposed to the recently dscovered fossils in order to dignose the geniunity and to give a price on them.
Finally, the writer is concerend about the technique used in extracting the fossils and missin many little fossils in commercial fossil collectors path. The lecturer accepts this flaw in their technique but she feels that their addventages are far more than disadvantages since they provide more materials to de discovered.
