TPO-18 - Integrated Writing Task In the 1950s Torreya taxifoha, a type of evergreen tree once very common in the state of Florida, started to die out. No one is sure exactly what caused the decline, but chances are good that if nothing is done, Torreya wi

The issue which was raised by scientists regarding Torreya tree survival in Florida has some contradictions between passage and lecturer speech. While the concept in the text is about three options to prevent tree extinction, the speaker told that none of them would be successful because of some reasonable facts.
First, the opportunity to re-establish the tree in the same location has some dangers related with global warming. Moreover, the tree itself needs larger region to be planted. It also means that the climate in the chosen area can be changed to a dryer one so this cannot be a right conservational option.
Secondly, the re-location of the tree far from Florida implies the danger that the black locust tree is likely to be spread quickly and in this case it could damage other plant species of the area due to the inpredictability of the system migration. These complications can also lead to new challenges regarding to survival projects of other trees and plants.
Third, reservation opportunities im the research centers could lead to the distortions in population of trees, which include necessity to have large area to resist and diversity of the trees population. It is obvious thatresearch centers are not capable to survive diversity of the trees in a long term period.
