The artcile has mentioned about the three possibe solutions to prevent the Torreya taxifoila from being extinct. However, the professor believes that none of the proposed solution gives saisfactory result and refute each of the soultion.
First, the article discuss about the solution where Torreya reestablsih in the same lication in which they thrived for thousands if years. The location where smaller egion is cooler and wetter than surrounding region The professor thinks that this approach is not sufficient and cast doubt on it. He further explains that coolest smaller region is surrounded by larger region and this larger region affect the smaller region due to global warming. Area around the the smaller region becomes drier. SO current atmospheric situation is no t suitable for gwoth of Torreya.

To discount this approach, the professor has given the exmple of another plant black lotus which was grown using assisted migration appraoch. The professor further explains that the black lotus grown so quickly that it kills another tress, among these tree many of where endangered species itseilf.
Third, the article discuss about the approach where Torreya were presever in reseach centeres. However, the professor thinks that it's not the solution either. To refute this point, the professor explains about the condition of plants resistance to disease. The professor states that the trees which were grown in reseach centere were not ablt to resist disease. To resist disesase trees should be in large quantity and should be diverse and reseach centers are not able to provide such condition.
