Question: Summarize the points made in the lecture. Being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passa
Buzzing
The listening and the reading materials have a debate on "buzzing"as a way that companies select for more selling through hiring people for advertising their products privately. The penman puts forward 3 main hypotheses about disadvantages of this technique, which are refuted by following orator.
First of all, the writer suggests that people should be aware that this certain person is payed to support a certain kind of product and his or her description of its benefits may be only because of money. On the contrary, the speaker views this issue from an opposite angle. According to her, buzzers just tell the truth, and it is not advisable that people have suspect about them.
The second point offered by the author is that not being obvious that the buzzers are advertising a product, people may not asking them professional questions. On the other hand, the lecturer casts doubt on this assumption by saying that people ask a lot of questions about a certain product from him. As a result, the opposite view of writer's concern is correct.
Last, the reading passage proposes that if people found that ordinary individuals may be buzzers, they will not trust on all people. Thus, this perspective has an extremely detrimental effect on social relation among them. However, the man holds a different view. He explains that this view of point is stupid. If a certain product be bad, its company will not hire a buzzer and spend money on it.
In all, the ideas mentioned in the speech counter the opinions in the text according to above reasons.
