The reading passage discusses about a proposal by paleontologists which says edmontosaur had migrated from north slope in winters. But the lecturer disagrees with this idea by rejecting the reasons have been provided for the theory.
First of all, the professor says the sunshine in that area is twenty four hours in a day and it causes a very suitable conditions for growing vegetables and this dinasour can use the dead remains of plants in winter. So the plenty of food in this region because of good environment is a strong proof to not migrating of the species which need food. Also this proper climate prepare these plants with high nutrition which can bring a vast category of edibles for our case.
Secondly, finding skeletons in herd can not provide a reason for migration hypothesis of edmontosaur because there are many animals which live in hers and do not leave their habitat. For example many creators live in herds in order to protect theirselves from competition and predators and it can not increase the probability of this animal migration.
Additionally, however the anathomy of dinasours shows they can go long distances easily without any hardship but the teacher talks about the young edmontosaur which is not able to travel many distances and she thinks the reading forget about the juvenile types of this animal. On the other hand adults can not leave the juvenile alone in herd because they would not survive in herds independently and without support of their parents.
In sum, although the reading passage has proposed seemingly convincing arguments at the first sight; however, the professor in the listening strongly refuses all of the three statements of the article, and has provided complete demonstrations.
