tpo 34 sea cows' extinctions
The reading and the listening are both about extinction of an specious from a place near Bering island off the coast of Siberia. Whereas the penman of the reading states that there are 3 possible causes for the extiction of Steller, the orator suggests that we can not have an apt conclusion for the matter due to the lack of suitable information. The lecturer cast doubt on 3 main points made in the reading passage by providing 3 theories.
First of all, the writer claims that over hunting of the local people, who were dependant to Steller as the main source of food, caused to extinction. The lecturer views this issue from an opposite angel. he says, this special type of sea cow was enormous in size and number. Consequenty, he argues that this size for the animal resulted for the small number of native people to disability of hunting all of them.
The second point offered by the author is that changes in ecosystem of the location caused to deficiency of food sources, that was a type of sea plant, for the Steller. On the other hand, the speaker believes that it is not a convenience hypothetical. Hence, he adds that, if changes of condition caused to death of Kelps, we must see this fact about other types of marines in the same place but we didn't.
Finally, the writer pf the passage believes that the main reason for this extiction is the hunters from Europe who killed the animal to gian fur of them. On the other hand, the professor illustrates that there is problem in the time of these two event. Moreover, he thinks that the European people started coming to the island after a great lost in the number of Steller, maybe hundred years after the aforamentioned extiction.
