TPO-48

In this set of materials, the main topic has centered on the likely reasons for frogs population decline. While the writer suggests three different problems and also some methods to deal with them, the professor finds all the mentioned reasons dubious and presents some evidence to erupt them all.

The first point in the article is that as pesticides, chemical substances used to kill invasive insects, cause the main damages for frogs and interrupt their breathing to eventually kill them, they have to be banned by farmers. However, this was questioned by the lecture as she stated that this prohibition is unfair for some specific farmers and can not be applied.

Additionally, according to the reading, another possible reason to decline the population is fungus and hence has to be treated trough antifungal medications in vast scale of frogs. Nonetheless, the professor dismisses the idea regarding the fact that this operation is very expensive and impractical because it has to be applied on all frogs one by one. Moreover, she also describes how this method can not be effective because it is not able to prevent the transition of viruses to spring off of frogs.

Finally, the author warns that the population of frogs are decreasing since their habitats are harmed due to the human’s activities, thus these harmful activities have to stop. Conversely, the professor claims that the phenomenon of global warming is responsible for this disaster not human.
