The passage and lecture talked about how rhinos extinction probability should be addressed and what positive and negative points the suggested solutions have. the author suggested some possible solution that we can do about the problem; However, the lecturer believed that none of the soultions are efficient.

The first idea is dehorning the rhinos so poachers are less attracted to them. On the other hand, the lecturer do not see this option effective because it is neither practical nor good for rhinos' lives. To illustrate, it decreases the chance of survival of rhinos due to the fact that rhinos use their horns for crucial tasks like digging water or protecting their territory.

The second solution is allocated to educating public that horns do not bring any benefits for people which is not counted as reasonable option by the lecturer. She believes that some people have extreme cultrul beliefs which will not be earsed by educating public.

Finally, third suggested plan is legalizing the sale of these horns. governments can control the prices so poachers can not sell them anymore. This approach is unpredictable in lecturer's opinion because many people do not buy rhinos' horns because their horns are illegal people start to buy them after and it may increase the demand. Hence, price will escalate and a lucrative market is created for this product.
