The reading passage discussion is about the American's disaffection to use the eco-certification product and provide three reasons for its claim. However, the professor thinks there are good reasons to show that American people eventually attract to use these products.
First, the text declares that people in the United States do not trust to the advertisement because all of the common products label the new. This action makes advertisements untrustworthy. On the contrast, the lecture states that the American people do not treat with the advertisement same. They distinguish between the company's own goods and independent eco-certification products. In fact, they trust to the independent eco-certification products and have a tendency use their production.
Second, the author tells that the price of the eco-certification products is higher than the ordinary wood. So, people prefer to use the normal one. In contrast, the professor says that the price is a vital factor for American customers, but not always. They consider the cost factor when there was a competition between two products. Also, if the difference between them be lesser than 5%, they pay attention to other factors. The American's people pay attention to the environment's preservation.
Third, the reading explains the American' companies prefer to work with the regular wood because they can not sell most of the eco-certification products. However, the professor asserts that the company must attract to the eco-certification products both for their customer and competition. If they act slowly in capturing the customer, they will lose the business. Hence, most of the domestic companies are away from the wood business.
