The reading argues that the are three methods to prevent the decline of the frogs population. However the lecture disagrees. It claims that all the methods mentioned in the passage have some problems.
The first point of dispute is the use of pesticides. The lecture claims that prohibit pesticides is not economical or practical method. Farmers are competitor in the market for having better crops and higher yield by using pesticides some farmer will be in sever danger, and they losing their crops and getting lower field. However, the reading argues that pesticides is the main cause for decline the frogs population which lead to sever breathing problems.
Another controversial issue is use of anti fungal treatment. The lecture asserts that the treatment is complex. Each frog needs to be treated invdiually. The treatment will not prevent the disease from pass on to the off spring. But, the reading contends this point by saying that the fungus cause thicken to the frog's skins and lead to dehydration of the frogs.
The final issue of depute is protecting the lakes and marches. The lecture says that global warming is the main cause declining in the frog's population and other species recent the last century. Yet, the reading argues that human over use of water and damaging of the frog habitats is the main cause in the decline.
