The article states that there are three theories could explain the uses of the Chaco Canyon buildings in the old days and provides many reasons of support. However, the professor explains that none of the arguments are convincing and refutes each of the Author’s reasons.
First, the reading claims that Chaco structure were purely residential. The professor refutes this point by saying that there are no supported evidence support the theory of that the Chaco buildings were a ceremonial place. According to the professor, the materials found in the nearby place contain other stuff the Author didn’t mention in his article, like, sand, stones, and construction tools. He adds that these stuffs prove that the other place was a trash place contains many things left over from the main building.
