The article states that zoos are essential for modern society and provides three reason of support. however, the professor explains that concerned groups have problem these arguments and refutes each of author's reasons.
First, the reading states that animals are treated well in zoos. The professor refutes this point by stating that animals are not treated well. he explaine that in a zoos, two red pandas died from exposure to rat venom. Not only don’t zoos maintain safty animals but also their managers don't respond this poor condition.
Second, the article claims that zoos are education. however, the professor contends that zoos are seen as entertainment. The animals in zoos attract visitors. he explains that zoos send massage us that use animals and they can not provide education place for visitors. also, he mentioned that zoos are misleading habitate.
Third, the reading avers that zoos protect and preserve endangered species. The lecture opposes this point by saying that zoos help to protecting endangered species but they had poor success. he says that they could conserve little number of endangered Tamarin in Brazil.
