When you are assigned an important presentation at work or in school, you prefer to work on it right away so that you can work on it a little bit every day, or wait till you have a good idea?
One of the most influential factor which leads to success is well organized schedule. Having an exact and step by step what-to-do program everyday makes jobs easier. A perfect presentation involves many intellectual and aesthetic parameters. I personally prefer to be prepared for a presentation at least one week before the due date. This has advantages in managing time to an elaborated design, preparation for the speech and having enough time to provide the novel key point in the presentation.
To begin with, design of the presentation slides should be in a good compatibility with the context which is presented. Kind of the theme and colors chosen for the slides should be in a good harmony with the subject. For instance, if the presentation is about marine biology, the matching style is the spectacular scenes of deep oceans. Adornment of slides is a time consuming work which has to be carefully done.
Secondly, clearly speaking in the presentation makes the topic more fascinating. When someone talks about a particular subject so enthusiastically, it allures the audiences and make them focus on the talk. The lecturer should have a good proficiency in the subject and be very well oriented as well. Moreover, skills to attract the audiences attention are hard to learn, It takes time and it’s not practical to do in one day.
Thirdly, good ideas trigger over time. When someone goes about a specific job, places in he context of that job, makes his or her mind totally obsessed which helps to have a wider scope of thought. As a result, brainstorm occurs more rapidly and efficiently. For example when I’m making presentation slides, I start with reading articles and passages about different aspects of the topic. The new ideas appear suddenly when thinking about the subject over days. Sleeping is another factor which classifies thoughts, thus one is better in giving ideas after sufficient sleep.
To put in nutshell, starting working and scheduling on works increases the quality and efficiency. This fosters some skills in the lecturer and even makes a dull topic an interesting one.
