Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line chart illustrates the amount of fish, salt, and meat consumed by Chinese people from 1985 to 2010. The units are measured in grams/person/week.
It is obvious that the gap between the figure of salt and the figure of meat closed at the end of the given period, with the consumption of salt decreasing significantly. By contrast, the amount of fish eaten by Chinese people increased throughout the given period. In addition, the figure of fish remained superior toward the other figures from 1985 to 2010.
Looking at the information in more detail, people consumed more meat, with the number of eaten increasing from 100 in 1985 to 200 in 2010. This increase, however, was marginal comparing to the figure of fish, which regardless of its fall from 1990 to 1995, climbed up gradually to peak at roughly 850 in 2010.
On the other hand, Chinese people reduced their intake of salt, by roughly 300 to 200 in the year 2010. In 2010, people ate salt as much as meat, at the same time, fish was the most selected food among other kinds of food.
