Overall, at the beginning of this period the fertility rates both countries come along together, until 1950 the birth rate in China dropped which was lower than the US’ data until the end of this period.
To begin with, starting at 10 and 12 which were the birth rates of Chinese and American, respectively, then the fertility rates of both nations were fluctuated and went down steeply during 1940 and 1945. After that, the presentation of birth rates both countries went to the peak at 20 and 15 in China and the US, respectively.
However, after the peak point, both progressions were continuously decreasing in 1950 until the end of this period. A significant drop can be seen clearly in the China progression as 5 in 1970 and 3 which was also the lowest point in 1985.
