Given is a line graph illustrating and comparing changes in the birth rates of China and the USA over period of 80 years between 1920 and 2000.
The rate of birth in USA in the period of 1920s was more than 10 percent. It continued at the same level until it slumped in 1945. A significant jump was in 1950 when it reached the peak of 20 percent, but a gradual decrease was from 1955 to 2000 when it was under 15 percent to more than 5 percent respectively.
In a comparison between China’s and USA’s birth rate, it is evident from the graph that there were considerable points where both countries similar in the birth rate during 80 years.
In 1925, China increased minimally just as the USA. The highest rate for China’s birth was in 1950 which also reached the peak. A marginal fall happened throughout 1960s to 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that China and USA birth rates have several similarities with different proportion of numbers.
