Both the reading and speaking try to discuss about agnosites and their living habits. Although the reading states three theouries to defines the living ways of agnosites, the lecturer refute them all and bring three reasons to say that the reading's idea is erronous.
At first, In contrast to reading, which asserts that the agnosites probabely were free-swimming and hunted the small animals, the professor dismisses this idea due to the fact that the agnosites had the larg and well developed eyes. In addition, he speaks that the free-swimming animals in this era were blind and according to the fact that there were not any evidence about blindness of the agnosites in the found fossils, They were not able to be free-swimming.
Furthermore, the passage explains that they could be a sea floor inhabitants owing to the way which the early anthropods lived. However, the lecturer brings the reason that this idea is highly questionable due to this concept that the sea floor animals needed to move rapidly in order to travel the large distance to reach from one side of the sea to the other front. Besides, indeed, the agnosites moved slowly. Therefore, according to this fact, they could not live through the sea floor.
Finally, the author mentions that the agnosites might be parasites and hunted the larger animals because the many type of the modern arthropods lived in this way. Conversely, the speaker rejects this idea due to this fact that the population of modern day arthropods were so huge and they had the vast amount of individuals. Moreover, the number of the agnosites was not as the lager as the other species. So, the other modern day species of arthropods could rule out the agnosites. Owing to this fact, they were not able to be parasites.
