The two graphs show the main sources of energy in the USA in the 1980s and the 1990s.
Two pie graphs compared the five different sources of energy, namely; oil, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric power and nuclear power, consumed in the USA in the 1980s and 1990s.
Overall, it is easily seen that oil had been the most popular energy sources that was consumed in the USA for both periods. The coal consumption and nuclear power usage was increased while natural gas decreased. It is interesting to note that oil, natural gas and coal were the main energy sources in the USA.
The dominant energy source in the US was the oil for both periods as it recorded at 42% of consumption in 1980 and 33% in 1990. The usage of oil decreased because of the usage in other energy sources such as coal and nuclear power increased accordingly. While coal raised its consumption from 22% to 27% within a decade, American people doubled its use of nuclear power from 5% in a decade. The consumption for natural gas dropped by 1% from 26% in 1980, whereas hydroelectric power was the least popular energy sources in the USA/.
