In the period of 1990-1995, house prices in New York, Tokyo and London on average all fell down in comparison to them in 1989, as there was a 5%, 7.5% and 7.5% in those 3 cities respectively. Meanwhile, houses in Madrid and Frankfurt were more expensive than them one year ago, there was, however, only a slight growth in both as the prices went up by less than 3%.
The chart shows contrasting information in 1996-2002 period. Except for a 5% fall in expenses of houses in Tokyo, houses in other four cities mentioned all cost more than they did in the last six-year-period. Average houses prices in New York and Madrid grew up for about 5%, while prices in London increased a considerable 12% compared to them in 1989.
Overall there were increases and decreases in house prices in 5 cities and the changes were various.
