Newspapers and magazines will not be available in the near future because large amounts of information from the internet will replace them. Do you agree or disagree? Give some
examples from your own experience.
The internet has widened it’s horizon to a greater extent as a mean of disseminating information for the past few decades. This tendency has invariably contributed to reduce the demand for conventional media such as newspapers and magazines and therefore the future of these printed media is absolutely uncertain.
First of all, the advent of the internet has added a new dimension to the way of people getting information. Obviously, it is faster, easer and more effective than any other media. The searching of information has become an amusing task with the aid of the internet. Consequently, the internet has gained a tremendous popularity over the press media. This trend is more significant among young people who are the future readers of newspapers and magazines. Therefore, it is certain that the conventional media would not be available in the future as they were in the past.
Moreover, as a result of the arrival of ipads, sophisticated mobile phones, lap tops and modern computers, people has got a great deal of access for internet resources. Ever improving informational technology industry will use much more advanced techniques in the future to further increase the availability of such medium. Therefore printed means of distributing information will never be able to survive unless they are incorporated with modern technology.
However, there are people who still would prefer newspapers and magazine than modern devisers as they are more reliable. In fact, anyone can upload information to websites and there are neither standard regulations nor authorities to control these actions. But many governments have recently realized their enormous responsibility in this matter and proper regulatory measures are on the horizon to enhance the reliability of information on the internet.
To sum up, the internet has revolutionized the way of disseminating information and eclipsed the popularity of printed media to a greater extent. This trend is likely to continue to the near future and the role magazines and newspaper in distributing information will be dispensable.
