It is clear from chart that people who have high income in the UK tend to spend considerably high amount of money on instance foods than people in other income groups. This tendency is more obvious when consider the amount of money allocated to buy hamburgers and pizzas by these people. In fact, approximately 40 and 20 pence per week are spent by each person in high income group to buy hamburgers and pizzas respectively, and these are the highest amount of money spent on such food items. People in average income group also spend high amount of money to buy hamburgers. But it is not as high as the figure of high income group. Typically, people in low income group spend the lowest amount of money on fast foods. An average person in this group only spends weekly about 17, 15 and 10 to buy fish and chips, hamburgers and pizza respectively.
The line graph reveals how the consumption of fast food changed over the two decades of period from 1970 to 1990.
