We all live in a society where authority is run by some capable hands. It is impossible that all citizens of a country to have the authority, therefore they have the right to choose these responsible people to create the government and will be responsible for running the social and political system. There will be accountable in front of the nation for the government’s performance and for answering the people’s questions concerning all issues related to their well-being.
The reason behind the existence of any government is the welfare of its people. The basic right of all people is choosing who leads them. Since power is corruption, these representatives should not be given absolute power. They must be questioned concerning their performance, to correct them whenever they deviate from the right pass, or did not achieve expected goals from them. As concentration of power and authority to one party, this will lead to monarchy, which is a negative consequence of the government. Therefore questioning decreases the probability of the occurrence of monarchy and will not allow absolute power to the government. Moreover, politicians and governors will watch out how they perform their policies, because they know that they are under question.
On the contrary, too much questioning will have a negative effect on the government performance because it might distract them. The problem will be with questioning only for opposition rather than constructive purposes and correction for the government performance. There must be limits to the questions of the public to the government; the parliament must reform an act to organize the process. People must address questions to the government with rules of civil law and acts that affects them directly, for instance their business, social life. On the other hand, they must not interfere when it comes to issues and decisions related to the national security, since this will affect the security of the country and their interference might affect the country negatively.
To sum up, since the public vote and choose the people who will represent them in the government, they must have the right to question them for the best of their well-being. And since power is corruption, the authority granted to the representatives must be limited and they must be subjected to questioning when they deviate from the path, or did not achieve what was expected from them. On the other hand, questioning must be regulated from the other side, so public will not interfere on critical issues like those concerning national security
