north pole

Essay topics:

north pole

The article states that Robert E. Peary reached the North Pole on April 7, 1909, and provides three reasons to support this; however, the lecturer refutes this idea by providing several counter example.
Firstly, the writer asserts that National Geographic Society investigation revealed that Peary’s record was consistent and persuasive to support Peary’s claim that he had arrived the North pole. However, the speaker disagree with this point by saying that even though the National Geographic committee did an investigation was not completely objective. 14 reason that many members of this Society were actually Peary's friends and some of them funded his trip. also, the professor stated that the investigation had lasted for only 2 days and according to Peary’s statement they did not examine all his evidence. consequently, the professor concludes that the National Geographic Society investigation is not trustworthy and did not prove that Perry was indeed reach the North Pole.

Secondly, the reading claims that are recent explanation was done by a spoiler name Tom Avery provides support for Perry's claim he reached the North Pole in only 37 days. On the other hand, professor refutes this point by explaining the difference between Avery's trip and words that down by Peary. first thing Professor states that the difference between Avery trip and Perry Expedition Roar that every carrot more lighter bag Band Perry secondly every had encountered a favorable environmental condition whereas Perry had the traveled in unfavorable environmental conditions, therefore, hypothesis claim in the reading passage does not prove that Perry had arrived the North Pole in 37 days.

Finally, the reading passage claims that there was a photograph that was taken by Perry to support his claim however the professor belies this idea by stating that those photos did not prove anything since this Photograph has been taken a hundred years ago the camera use was the Fuzzy and unfocused lens. in addition to this photo became faded fuzzy and so hard to calculate the shadows of the Sun, therefore, the professor concludes that we cannot verify the accurate measurement of the shadow of the Sun in this photo so we could not compare to the position of the sun in the North Pole on April 7th, 1909. to conclude this Photograph are not confident source to rely on for the support of the Paris claim
