Many people assume that the goal of every country should be to produce more materials and goods.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays there are some who claim that one of the most indispensable goals of the country must be considered to produce more materials and goods than they used to. I completely ignore this notion and want to support my point of view with some facts below.
To begin with, we must acknowledge that the world population has significantly increased during the last centuries. Therefore, every country must involve enough resources and facilities to provide the demands of its residents. Additionally, advocates are of the opinion that producing more goods and preserving them in certain circumstances will be useful in case of natural disasters and famine. However, I think this is not effective enough in order to struggle with such serious problems, and countries must have other better goals to reach.
Firstly, the aims of the county must be thrifty due to the fact that natural resources are not eternal and wasting them on only such redundant production processes of materials and goods is not reasonable idea. Secondly, the development of the country depends on the improvement almost in all sections of economy, hence governments should not concentrate on increasing the number of goods but also take into consideration the other demands of people.
Moreover, more goods and materials make people tend to consume them, as a consequence, it can result with health problems like obesity and with more garbage which causes the pollution, to be more precise, if all areas of the country are abundant with goods, the price will decrease and people will be more likely to purchase more.
To conclude, I think governments must be responsible for providing better life conditions for their residents, so this way is not the main thing that people really need.
