Dear John,
I am writing to invite you to share my triumph.
There was a big competition among amateur photographers in Los Angeles. People compete in several categories: portrait, landscape and wildlife. I tried my luck in all three directions and a picture of elephants that play in a river has won a prize. There are two animals depicted in the picture, one is the mother who is an enormous female and her small, recently born child. They are playing with water by their trunks: the mature creature sprayed clean water over its progeny who seems to be absolutely happy at the moment.
