TV is one of the greatest discoveries of the twentieth century. Some people believe that TV is a source of information and education, while others believe that TV is useful for entertainment only. This essay will discuss TV as a source of information and education and not only a source of entertainment.
Television has been a primary source of entertainment for decades and most of the world population availed glimpse of it. Nowadays, numerous channels on television provide a variety of regional shows and drama. After a long day of work or school, individual get relief after tuning to a television to watch a favorite show. Thus, the TV will continue to be a quality source of entertainment.
Television has authority and viewers can solely rely on the information provided. Majority of the programs on Television are well planned and have target audience groups. For example, History channel telecasts documentaries for an audience with an interest in history and Discovery channel usually interests the audience with the discoveries in the world. Therefore, TV educates viewers with quality programs and provide authentic information.
This essay discussed why TV is not only useful for entertainment but provides quality information and education for viewers. In my opinion, TV provides information and education depending on individual’s interest and can also be a useful entertainment device.
