The given bar chart illustrates comparable information about change in sales of different materials between 2002 and ten years later, 2012. The chart also showed a further classification by four types of publication.
As an overall trend, amount of buying books increased in each of the four considered books, excepting hobbies books declined lower than the figure in the initial year.
In detail, the sale of the biggest sellers, history books, experienced over 4,000 copies in 2002, raising continuously to 10,000 copies in 2008. Despite the decline in 2010, the figure increased over the period to roughly 9,000 copies in 2012.
Other areas changed significantly, The number of art books grew from below 2,000 copies to about 3,000 copies in 2008, held the same place with entertainment books. The figure for art books increased one third to 4,000 copies in the last year of consideration, exceeding the number of entertainment books, which had only 3,000 copies.
In contrast, in 2002, saw spending on hobbies books starting merely 1,000 copies, following by a fluctuation and hitting the lowest number comparing with others.
