The given pie charts illustrate information about the average consumption of four types of food in the world in 2008. The charts also show a further comparison with other two countries, including China and India.
As an overall trend, the proportion of processed food made up to the biggest section in all three charts, despite two countries show the different pattern from the world average.
In particular, processed food consumption was the highest part of the world data, accounting for 41%, which was followed by 29% of vegetables and fruits and 26% of animal food. Only 4% consisted for nuts and seeds consumption.
In detail, China and India presented processed food as the main part of consumption, showing 34% and 39% respectively. Likewise, the percentage of vegetables and fruits held the second place in both countries at 32% and 23% each. There was 27% for animal food in China, exceeding number of the same group in India, which had only 15%.Whereas the smallest group of consumed food in India was nuts and seeds at 11%, in China, it was19%.
