We can clearly see that before the sharp increase in 1935, fertility in China fluctuated at somewhere between 10 to 13 Interestingly, in 1950 China reached it is climax point with 20%, before decreasing to 8% in 1955. After that, fertility of China had been steadily decreased and reached to 3%.
Birth rates was fluctuated between 12 to 14 percent in the years 1920 to 1940, as for the USA. After that, it faced with considerable decline in 1945 that reached to 5%, before it is zenith point in 1950 with 15% of fertility. Moreover, it slightly decreased in the next decades. Thus, the lowest point of birth rate in the USA was 7%.
Overall, the graph provide a clear comparison of birth rates of China and the USA between 1920 and 2000. Initially, birth rates of both countries had been fluctuated during the years 1920 and 2000. It is interesting to note that, in 1945 fertility in both countries intersected and reached 5%.
