The bar chart illustrates the number of people who have access to four different modes of transportation in a European City between 1960 and 2000. Overall, the only mode of transportation chosen by people in Europe was car experiencing a significant increase during the period, whereas the others reported a various trend of decrease.
To begin, despite starting at just above 5%, the number of car noticeably raised six-fold to be the highest figure in the beginning of the period, by overtaking the numbers of the other transport modes. Meanwhile, the figure for people choosing to walk, as the highest number in 1960, declined to just below a tenth during 40 years. This was similar to the number of bikers which had a 19-percent drop from 25% - the lowest number in the end of period. The passengers of bus also experienced a slight decrease of 2%, although the number of them grew to reach 36% in the early twenty years.
