your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure center that it runs in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter
1- give details of how you and your friends or family use the center
2- explain why the center is important for the local comunity
3- describe the possible effects on local people if the center closes
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing regarding your decision of closing the sports center in our vicinity in order to save its running expenditure from your budget.
My friends, family and I were regularly pending a lot of time at the center to practice our favorite sports during the weekends. I personally returned to play football matches with many friends. There are many centers outside the city, but I cannot assure to continue in these activities if this nearest center closed.
The importance of the center comes from gathering many people at same place to do their sports activity and get knowing each other for more socialization. Although people were not practicing any sports, many people used to practice sports when it opened.
As result of closing the center, high rate of obesity will be measured among inhabitants. I would therefore stress that center shut down harms the health of individuals, especially the eldest. In addition to life socialization will be dramatically decreased in the vicinity.
I look forward to withdrawing that decision at soonest.
Yours faithfully,
Ayoub
