The given two pie chats below gives information on the changes in the worldwide population of different places between the period 1900 and 2000.
Overall, during both the period Asia had the largest population in the world. Whereas north America was stable during both the period.
The worldwide population during 1900 was about 1,600 million. Asia had the largest percentage of population in the world with 60% of total. While Europe had 25% population (including Russia). The two western continents North America and Africa contributed 5% and 4.5% respectively. Latin America had 3% population in the world whereas other places were about 2.5% during 1900.
The worldwide population during 2000 had reached to almost 6billion. Same as 1900, in 2000 Asia had the largest population in the world but with decreased in the percentage to 54%. North America was at same percentage as 1900. Africa and Latin America had almost doubled the population during 2000. The Middle East and North Africa region had 6% of total population.
