The table below shows the results of a survey of average number of cars per hour using three suburbans roads during working hours in a ten-year pollution monitering programme. Traffic calming* was introduced in Harper Lane at the beginning of 1999.
The given tabular chart illustrates the information about number of cars per hour using by three suburban roads: Harper Lane, Great York Way and Long Lane in ten year pollution monitering programme. At the beginning of 1999, the method of slowing down traffic was introduced.
It can be seen that, in 1993, the number of cars using per hour by harpa lane was 82. Moreover, it was fastly increased during 1994 to 1998 and number of cars were 915. Afterthat, traffic claiming were introduced in the beginning and in 1999 the number of cars per hour had been 204. Furthermore, number of cars in 2000, 2001 and 2002 were 173: 178: 193 in Harper Lane respectively.
As far as trend is concerned, in Great York Way and Long Lane roads, number of cars per hour were 600 nd 400 in 1993. Apart from that, number of cars were increased in both the roads and cars were 667 and 800 till 1996. Moreover, in 1997, number of cars were decreased in both the road to 630 and 638. At the last, number of cars on both the roads were increased to both the roads and cars were 900 nd 1400 at the end year of 2002 respectively.
Overall, it is evident that number of cars per hours were increased during the year 1993 to 2002.
